We who own Tvetagården are Kaj and Malin Elmell.
We bought it by year end 2007.

At Tvetagårdens hostel we work to decrease our environmental load as much as we can.

KAJ

Just think being able to jump in life, away from everything that is organized and safe, to something you never ever tried before. Owning my own company and running a hostel has always been a dream of mine. Tvetagården has already surpassed many of my expectations and I really look forward to develop it even more so that you as our clients really can enjoy the stay with us.

BORKI

I am the hostel dog and I spend my time saying hello to the guests if they like me, out in the garden or chasing a ball close to the reception. I like to take a swim in the nearby lake, or a long forest walk along the fantastic and the game rich tracks just by the house. If there is any ham left over from the breakfast it is mine.

MALIN

Being a hostel owner is more a way of living than a work. I live my dream to develop a business primarily towards a more environmentally a healthy sustainable life style. I want you as guests in Tvetagården to feel welcome and at home with everything we have to offer and our surroundings as well.

SVIF, Swedish youth hostels in cooperation was founded in 1991 and is an association of free-standing and independent youth hostels in Sweden. Each youth hostel is run accorning to their own set of principles. The collaboration between the hostels is primarily targeted at marketing and other common intrests.

TVETAGÅRDEN BEFORE

Tvetagården was built in 1920 as a home for aged people in the county of Tveta. 150 meters away the school was also built. The surroundings are an old cultural area with Tveta chuch from the 11th century and Iron-age graves in the vicinity. The Tveta church also have a runic stone in its ceiling. The old mill of Ålöström aswell as the Tvetaberg mansion are nextby.
